A quick partial mash is nessecary for the enzymes in the 6 Row to convert the starch in the Flaked Oats. To do this heat 3.75 quarts of water in your brew pot to 170 degrees F. Remove from the heat and add all grains in a large grain bag. Steep these grains for 1 hour making sure that grains are fully mixed withing the bag. Remove grains, draining well but not squeezing, add water to bring your wart volume up to desired level and continue as normal. - You can also add 12-24 Tbs of very coarse ground coffee during the steep to impart more coffee flavors.
